My experience as a Marlins coach definitely reassured my love for the sport of swimming. I have wanted to be a swim coach my entire life, and now that I finally get to do it for the years to come, I am thrilled! In addition, this experience has also shown me my passion for educating and being with young children. During my middle school and early high school years, I always had the thought of getting my degree in education and teaching levels K-6. I thoroughly enjoyed my time at Peak exploring the field of exercise science, but I think my calling is working with young children in the classroom. Therefore, I hope to study education in my college years and become a teacher during the day and coach in the evenings. This summer was full of experiences for me and I am forever grateful for my time for the Marlins and at Peak. It allowed me proper observation of personal training, which still remains interesting to me and I hope to always maintain a healthy, physical lifestyle, yet I think it is not the career path for me. I am glad I used both of these for my senior capstone and this experience was extremely fun.
