ABOUT ME
My name is Riley Ernst, and I am going to be a senior at Hilliard Davidson High School. I have two loving parents, Heather and Moses Ernst, and a younger brother, Tommy. I enjoy spending my time playing sports, hanging out with friends, and traveling. I am constantly growing in my faith and am an avid participant of Young Life at Davidson. I dream of becoming a Young Life leader myself during my college years to help high schoolers grow in their faith during their journey through a tough four years. You'll almost never find me not smiling and I love to laugh. I have grown up playing sports including swimming, softball, volleyball, and taekwondo. Softball and swimming became my main two sports entering middle school. Once high school began, I decided to focus solely on swimming and drop softball as I gained increasing exposure to collegiate coaches. Entering senior year, I am still undecided on where I would like to continue my academic and athletic career, but am leaning towards Youngstown State University. Physical health is important to me, and I have always considered a profession where I can push myself to be physically fit, long after my swimming days are over, as well as where I can grow relationships with clients as a personal trainer and push them to be the best they can be both physically and mentally. I myself have trained through Peak Human Performance for training for my club swim team. After thinking about what to do for my senior capstone project, I talked to my trainer, Ken Kniss, and decided to become an intern for the facility to get a hands on look into the field to learn all aspects of what it means to be both a physical trainer and a friend to the clients. This summer, I also was hired to be a coach for the Hilliard Marlins swim team at the Hilliard Family Aquatic Center. This experience allowed me to give back to the sport that has given me so much and I am excited for my years to come in this position.
